Another family vacation has come and gone by way too fast. We all went up to Grand Marais for a long weekend. It was the first time mom and dad had ever been that far up north along the north shore. We couldn't have asked for better weather. For the most part it was sunny. Occassionally there would be a rain shower but it would be done and over with in less than 5 minutes.We were able to visit many different State Parks this time. We went to Cascade, Grand Portage, Judge CR Magney, and Gooseberry state parks. The waterfalls at each one of these places were absolutely spectacular. 
This is a picture of Grand Portage High Waterfalls. This picture doesn't even do it justice. It was so amazing that water falls from that high. They were supposed to be the best that there have been in 15 years. So all the rain does pay off!!!!
This was every one just sitting by the lake where the Cascade River met Lake Superior. The only one missing from this picture would be David. He was off exploring on the other side of the river. It was nice to just relax and take in the scenery.
And when there was down time, there were many games of Polish Horseshoes being played. I think now every one wants to make a set of the game.

It was sad that we had to come home so soon. We had to come back to the crazy life where it all passes by in a flash. Now everyone is just waiting for the time when we can all return again.
